Project Engineer Offshore

Job Ojective(s): 
- To manage end execute project's engineering activities (as described in the Project Plan and Work Method Statement) within the required time frame, budget, and quality;
- Field Engineering troughout offshore operations either in the onshore yard or offshore on the main installation vessel (egineering assistance to operations / daily reporting / interface management.

Authority/Responsibilities:
- Provide egineering/work preparation input for tje Project Plan as well as drafting Project Method Statements to assist operations as wel as tender processes (acquisition new installation projects); 
- Coordination of the egineering activities with other disciplines/processes (such as purchasing department) and for monitoring progress, identifying deficiencies and initiating corrective actions as and when required;
- Manage and control the performance of engineering subcontractors and engineering activities related to fabricators / suppliers of specialized offshore equipment;
- Supporting (civil) activities during operations at sea (field engineering role during operations at sea).

Job Task(s):
- Darfting Work Method Statements and other procedures to support operations at sea as well as the supply / transport / feeding of components to be installed; 
- Coordinate egnineering and supply / fabrication / apporval of project-specific equipment such as lifting gear, pile grippers and sea fastening provisions;
- Coordinating project-specific engineering calculations / reports for mooring, anchoring, towge, load tests, rigging, sea fastening currently carried out by external engineering parties;
- Developing in-house knowledge, expertise, standards and methods to carry out project-specific engineering calculations (standard procedures to be "anchored" within our clients knowledgebase);
- Field engineering troughout operations at sea (egnineering support operations, planning and logistics coordination, daily prgress reporting, interface management, implementation method statements).

Reporting (field):
- Issue daily progress reports;
- Issues incident, accident, near miss reports and observation notes.

Gestelde eisen

Skills:
- Excellent internal and external communicator on operational and projectmanagement level;
- Experience in (marine) construction activities and engineering (not necessarily wind farms);
- Experience with basic engineering software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, Arena;
- Experience / knowledge of marine engineering software such as MOSES and AQUA;
- email prograns, word-processing and spreadsheet software;
- Fluent in verbal / written English.

Function requirements:
- HTS (bsc) or equivalent;
- Minimum of 10 yaers in the design and engineering of marine projects of which approximately 5 years in a lead-position.

Works with / awnsers to:
Operations Manager or Project Manager.
